This years big spend...... (no pink wheel rims) Ive bought a power commander.!!!!! (please come back and say hello Loz )
This basically allows you (or a tuner) to optimise your bikes fuelling through the rev range.
Standard bikes have the fuelling set up to comply with emission laws not necessarily produce maximum power. Also by adding race cans etc this can upset the stock fuelling of a bike.
There is an optimum air fuel ratio for the performance of motorcycle engines and this is around 13% (though this is one of those figures that is always being argued about by tech people)
A higher percentage air fuel ratio is termed lean and conversely lower is termed rich.
Its a near on plug and play unit that fits inline with the primary fuel injectors and uses the Throttle Position sensor as the power source.
Ive Serviced, cleaned, lubed and fitted the PC, also uploaded a generic map for my bike....Akrapovic exhaust, K&N air filter, SET valve removed and an O2 eliminator fitted.
I'm well chuffed with the results
I have a smoother power delivery.
Better fuel economy, and.........
As an added result.........................................
SHE POPS AND BREATHES FIRE!!!!!!
